This module is made for use with Mausritter. It may be adapted into other games.

Meet the only notebook you’ll ever need.

A coil-bound notebook designed especially for the brave guides who create and run tabletop roleplaying games for any game or system. The 170 numbered pages include seven different types:

  • Lined pages, for notes
  • Character sheets
  • Item blocks
  • Hex grids, for regional maps
  • Isometric grids, for location maps
  • Square grids, for battle maps
  • Bordered pages, for sketching

See the images for examples of each type of page. Character sheets and item blocks are system-neutral.

The cover is matte, making it easy to write on, and the page details are printed in a light grey, so they don’t get in the way of your notes. The back pages are filled with cut-out labels, banners, and boxes that can be pasted in the notebook for headings or callouts, allowing you to add some extra personal flavour. You’ll also find small illustrations throughout the book to inspire your imagination and creativity.

With 21 different cover designs to choose from, you’ll easily find a notebook that suits your style, game, or campaign.

This notebook is great for keeping your notes ordered as you plan a new campaign, create a new game, or write a new adventure. You can keep all your varied notes in one place and track them easily. With the coil-bound spine, pages can easily be pulled out when needed.

The table of contents is intentionally blank so you can record on which pages each section of your notes can be found.

If you would like one of the covers with an alternate colour scheme, please get in touch to describe what you’re looking for, and we’ll see what we can do.

A PDF of the notebook pages is also provided, allowing you to print any of the pages at home or use them digitally.

Interior art by Jean Francois Senay. Cover art by Fernando Salvaterra, Penflower Ink, Piotr Kuberkiewicz, and edilith.

Thanks to Davis Pafford, Matthew Morris, Astrid, Sero, Pengy, and KooBear for testing and providing feedback on this notebook to improve the final product. They even provided some of the example photos.

I love this!! I mainly use it for game design but I might try it out for solo rpgs too. Itโ€™s the perfect mix of different types of pages for game design and solo journaling play. The covers are really fun too.

I was a bit worried that the spiral binding would be annoying as a lefty but itโ€™s not.

  2. KooBear

This notebook is a must-have for any DM who does prep. Itโ€™s system-agnostic and perfect for almost any fantasy roleplaying game. The hex and isometric pages are real game-changers! Itโ€™s such a simple and obvious solution, yet Iโ€™ve never seen another DM notebook include them. You can really tell it was made with love for tabletop RPGs and with DMsโ€™ convenience in mind.

  3. Matthew Morris

Absolutely love this resource! As a game master who loves world building, being able to jot down all of my thoughts and notes in one place is super helpful! The different kind of pages also comes in really handy! Whether I am drawing a hex crawl and adding notes on the adjacent page, or mapping out a top-down dungeon on the grid paper. This journal is perfect! Iโ€™m also a huge fan of isometric dungeon maps, so the inclusion of isometric grids is super helpful. Also, this is really fun because Iโ€™m able to keep track of all of my characters at the table, I am able to make notes in my journal and having it all in one place makes everything so much more streamlined! This is a great addition to my game master arsenal.

  4. Pengy

Super convenient journal for planning and live notes alike! The label cutouts are awesome, and I love the texture of the cover. There’s a good variety of page designs, and the layout makes it really easy to take notes alongside the hex / iso maps.

  5. Sero

I’ve got the “I make the rules (literally)” style. It’s got a good amount of pages and I like that they’re numbered and has a table of contents. The character sheets are generic enough to suit the games I play/run. I think it will work well with solo journaling games, planning group games or as a player in a group game. Totes recommend!

  6. Gilbals

I love my copy. I have the “Tumbling dice (twilight)” style. It looks great, feels great, and is perfect for keeping my notes, maps and small stats in alongside my binders and charts. I also adore the minigame in the back, a real value add.
